В Приморском крае ветеранам Великой Отечественной войны намерены присвоить звание Почетного жителя региона. По словам первого вице-губернатора Веры Щербины, инициатива президента и Минобороны РФ нашла полную поддержку в крае и будет дополнена на местном уровне.
Новый статус предполагает ежемесячную выплату в размере 15 тысяч рублей, которая станет дополнением к единовременной президентской выплате в 80 тысяч рублей к 80-летию Победы. «Каждый фронтовик, который сражался за свободу и независимость нашего государства с оружием в руках, имеет право на это почетное звание», – подчеркнула Вера Щербина.
