По предварительной информации, мужчина 1977 года рождения за рулем МАЗа с прицепом ехал по дороге Сыктывкар — Ухта — Печора — Усинск — Нарьян-Мар. На 301-м километре не справился с управлением, допустил выезд на встречную полосу прицепа — его занесло.
В результате произошло столкновение с «Фольксваген Джетта», затем иномарка врезалась в «Рено Логан», уже третья машина въехала в «Хендай Солярис». Пострадал водитель «Фольксвагена», мужчина 1955 года рождения. Он получил черепно-мозговую травму, сотрясение, перелом бедра, ушибы шеи и грудной клетки, рану губы. Госпитализирован. Его пассажирка — женщина 1961 года рождения — скончалась в больнице.
