Жители села Базилевка несколько лет писали жалобы и обращения к местной администрации, чтобы та решила проблему с уличным освещением. Недавно они убедились, что проще сделать все самим: люди собрали деньги и установили фонари самостоятельно.
Власти, узнав об этом, отрубили электричество, объяснив это тем, что «установка фонарей незаконна». На Базилевку вновь опустилась непроглядная мгла.
Стоит отметить, что жители также жалуются на неполадки с водой, причем с 2011 (!) года: люди за свой счет сделали проект водоснабжения, но тогда пришла другая беда — обанкротился подрядчик. Проблему за 10 лет так и не решили.
