Вчера в музейном лектории состоялась четвёртая встреча Клуба любителей старинных фотографий. Участники послушали интереснейшие выступления Галины Смирновой и Павла Ромашова. Каждая история, рассказанная на основе старинных фотографий, уникальна. Благодаря нашим встречам появляется возможность глубже познать свою историю.

Следующая встреча выйдет из привычного формата и будет проводиться в рамках Международной выставки искусств АРТ МИР 2025. Она состоится 5 февраля в 18:00 по адресу ул. Совнаркомовская, 13, зеркальный павильон Экспоцентра Нижегородской ярмарки.

The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app.
