Оба вагона имеют одинаковые габариты, номинальный объем кузова 120 м³, 5 загрузочных и 6 разгрузочных люков. В то же время этот вагон отличается примененной тележкой – установлена модели 18-2128 с нагрузкой на ось 23,5 тс (в 19-2165 применяется 18-9800 с осевой нагрузкой 25 тс). В результате у нового хоппера меньшая грузоподъемность – 70,5 т вместо 76 т.
