Уголок России - общий дом, здесь поют так. И, наверное, нигде так остро не ощущается - как дорожат русским языком те, кто учил его - в Ростове, Москве, Кишиневе, Одессе, Минске - по всему Советскому Союзу. И сохранил, пронеся через годы любовь к нашей уже общей Родине. Они правда называют Советский Союз своей второй родиной, время учебы - самым счастливым в жизни. И они пришли обсудить общие планы - как мы будем развивать дружбу двух стран, как мы будем готовить студентов к учебе, смотреть кино, раздавать русские книги библиотекам - вместе с их ассоциацией маврикийских выпускников наших вузов. Которую официально называют МААРУС. Нежно и с любовью - Маарусенька. И, когда над Порт-Луи несется с легким акцентом Калинка, потом - Катюша, потом - Визбор, понимаешь четко - насколько каждый из них поет про себя, выводя простое - «здесь глаза немного грустные, а слова и песни - русские». И очень трогательная просьба после всех обсуждений - не могли бы в России вырастить для Маврикия настоящего капитана. А то океан у нас есть, корабли есть, а капитан был один - еще из Советской мореходки, поможете? Поможем. Обязательно.

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. If you initiate a Secret Chat, however, then these communications are end-to-end encrypted and are tied to the device you are using. That means it’s less convenient to access them across multiple platforms, but you are at far less risk of snooping. Back in the day, Secret Chats received some praise from the EFF, but the fact that its standard system isn’t as secure earned it some criticism. If you’re looking for something that is considered more reliable by privacy advocates, then Signal is the EFF’s preferred platform, although that too is not without some caveats. The SC urges the public to refer to the SC’s I nvestor Alert List before investing. The list contains details of unauthorised websites, investment products, companies and individuals. Members of the public who suspect that they have been approached by unauthorised firms or individuals offering schemes that promise unrealistic returns The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app.
