Ровно 10 лет прошло со дня убийства оппозиционного политика Бориса Немцова на Большом Москворецком мосту в Москве. В петербургском отделении партии «Яблоко» открылась фотовыставка памяти политика.
«В половине первого ночи 27 февраля мне позвонили и сказали, что убили Бориса Немцова. Я кинулся к компьютеру, убедился в том, что это, к сожалению, правда. Никто тогда не знал, что 1 марта вместо антивоенного и антикризисного марша будет марш и митинг памяти Немцова. 20 тысяч человек прошли через перекрытый для этой цели Троицкий мост и провели митинг на Марсовом поле», — поделился воспоминаниями экс-депутат ЗакСа Борис Вишневский*.
Пришедшие почтили память Немцова минутой молчания и написали письма политзаключенным, а поэт Мемо Корнильев прочел свое стихотворение «Не молчите».

In 2018, Russia banned Telegram although it reversed the prohibition two years later. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. This provided opportunity to their linked entities to offload their shares at higher prices and make significant profits at the cost of unsuspecting retail investors. The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
