Покров

...Няня, бывало, положит руки на стол,
долго глядит на них — пусто, молча...
– Витьке тогда третий уже пошёл.
Так и кричал от голода ночью.

Помнится, выйдем с Дусей за лебедой.
Щиплем траву и едим. Не бабы, а гуси...
И, усмехнувшись над этой своей бедой:
– Дочка одна померла у Дуси.

Дряблые руки на тёмной доске стола.
В комнате прячет Казанскую на картонке.
– В 46-м Дуся в Москву подалась –
к мужу. А мой... три года как похоронка.

Я как начну покойных считать, по ком
даже во сне, бывает, по-волчьи вою...
Землю, Покров, покрой поутру снежком,
а меня покрой доской гробовою.
