Fascis, что с латинского означает «прутья», образовывали «фашину» (пучёк, связка), которые и носили «ликторы», они же почётные стражники древнеримской магистратуры. Отсюда Муссолини и взял своё итальянское «fascio» или «фашизм».
Нет, общий «наказательно-охранительский» смысл ясен, но тащить «ликторские прутья» в нашу страну, особенно, когда здесь жёстко табуируется всё, связанное с фашизмом?
