The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed yesterday's strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with 6 ATACMS Block IA and 4 Storm Shadow missiles on the Kamensky Combine enterprise in the Rostov region, which was noted in earlier post.

According to the Defense Ministry, “during the anti-missile battle, combat crews of the S-400, Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems and the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system shot down all ATACMS missiles and three out of four Storm Shadow missiles” (the video above shows the arrival of a damaged Storm Shadow / SCALP-EG cruise missile).

As we noted earlier, in order to avoid interception of the same targets by different air defense systems and to ensure full situational awareness of the air defense system’s crews about the tactical aerospace situation (thanks to the exchange of data between combat control points), the above-mentioned anti-aircraft missile divisions are integrated into mixed network-centric anti-aircraft missile brigades by aggregating them into a single information field using the "Поляна-Д4М1" and "Байкал-1М" automated control systems.

Thanks to this, for example, the crew of the 9A317MA Buk-M3A self-propelled launcher, located in a lowland, can receive information about the low-altitude SCALP-EG route from the 92N6A illumination radar of the S-400 complex, located on the 40V6MD universal tower. Technically, such information can be used for over-the-horizon target designation of the 9M317MA anti-aircraft missile with the Slanetz active radar homing head.

The Crimea-Azov-Rostov area also has the first operational S-500s. This is therefore one of the areas in which our SAMs are best prepared in all aspects, from interception capabilities to friend-foe reconnaissance, remember that an A-50 was lost here precisely because of friendly fire.

Telegram | DID YOU KNOW?

Russians and Ukrainians are both prolific users of Telegram. They rely on the app for channels that act as newsfeeds, group chats (both public and private), and one-to-one communication. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. This provided opportunity to their linked entities to offload their shares at higher prices and make significant profits at the cost of unsuspecting retail investors. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors. Founder Pavel Durov says tech is meant to set you free
