Например, в городе Шуя Ивановской области очень необычный герб. Возможно, он ещё и самый лаконичный среди гербов в регионах. Единственное, что изображено на алом фоне — золотой кусок мыла. Дело в том, что в XVIII-XIX веках в Шуе работало больше десятка мыловарен. С 2010 года в городе ежегодно проводят фестиваль «Шуйское мыло», а ещё там есть музей мыла.
Кстати, исторический герб 1781 года выглядел богаче — над куском мыла был изображен ещё и лев. В 2004 герб реконструировал Союз геральдистов России, и на нём осталось только схематичное изображение золотого мыльного бруса.
