Созданный московским архитектором Владимиром Ивановым мемориал установили в городе Дно рядом с храмом Святых Царственных Страстотерпцев. Митрополит Псковский и Порховский Матфей освятил памятник и музей, посвященный последним дням царствования семьи Романовых.
