Новым послом России в США может стать директор департамента Северной Америки МИД РФ Александр Дарчиев, пишет "Коммерсант" со ссылкой на источники.
Дарчиев работает в МИД с 1992 года. Он был начальником отдела департамента Северной Америки МИД, замдиректора соответствующего департамента, пять лет служил советником посольства России в США, занимал пост советника-посланника. С 2014 года и до 2021 года дипломат занимал пост посла России в Канаде.
Как пояснили РБК в МИД, с кандидатурой посла в США в Москве определились давно, но публично процесс не комментируют.
