4 августа 1995 года началась военная операция "Буря", целью которой было создание этнически чистого государства Хорватия. Начался самый настоящий геноцид и преследования на национальной и религиозной почве, сопровождаемые похищениями, мучениями и зверскими убийствами.

С 4 по 9 августа было убито более 700 сербских военных, почти 2 000 гражданских лиц, а около 300 000 человек покинули свои дома и стали беженцами, пала Республика Сербская Краина. За это преступление так никто и не ответил.

Pavel Durov, a billionaire who embraces an all-black wardrobe and is often compared to the character Neo from "the Matrix," funds Telegram through his personal wealth and debt financing. And despite being one of the world's most popular tech companies, Telegram reportedly has only about 30 employees who defer to Durov for most major decisions about the platform. Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. Meanwhile, a completely redesigned attachment menu appears when sending multiple photos or vides. Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred."
