Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. For the week, the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq fell 2%, 2.9%, and 3.5%, respectively. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers.
