Раніше я один із бонусних подкастів присвятила «горор-мемуарам» (When We Were Ghouls, Blue Light of the Screen, House of Psychotic Women), тому запропонувала продовжити тему — бо якраз зустріла нову книжку такого формату, Night Mother: A Personal and Cultural History of The Exorcist.
Її авторка Марлена Вільямс розповідає про матерів із фільму «Екзорцист» і про свою матір, яка комічно намагалася захистити дочку від цієї жахливої стрічки. А ще це історія про боротьбу матері з раком. Вийшло так, що поки я читала книжку, ця хвороба навідалася і в мою сім’ю — тому замість стандартного огляду «культурного продукту» вийшов несподіваний текст про те, як горор сприяє емпатії. Цікаво, що це вперше, здається, важлива для мене і «нішева» публікація виходить без купюр десь, крім мого власного бложика — і виходить у католицькому журналі.

Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time.
