В подземных выработках в Керчи из отступающих солдат и населения группа более 13 тысяч, внезапно раз за разом атаковавшая врага. Обнаружив укрытие, немцы блокировали его, и после 170-дневной осады каменоломни пали, из 13 тысяч в живых осталось 48 человек. На монете – фрагмент мемориального комплекса Аджимушкайских каменоломен, открытого в 1982 (скульпторы Борис Климушко и Евгений Горбань).
