Это одноименная книга Владимира Богомолова, по которой уже снят великолепный фильм "В августе 44-го" с невероятным кастом: Миронов, Галкин, Балуев, молодой Колокольников. В связи с этим извечный вопрос - ЗАЧЕМ БЛЯДЬ?
