1️⃣3️⃣ января с.г. сотрудник Посольства России в Словакии принял участие в торжественном возложении венков к мемориалу «Павшим в годы Первой и Второй мировой войны и Словацком национальном восстании», приуроченном к 80-й годовщине освобождения Красной Армией г.Полтар (Банско-Быстрицкий край) от немецко-фашистских захватчиков.

🎖️ Выступившие глава города, представители местных ветеранских и общественных организаций выразили благодарность красноармейцам за освобождение Словакии от фашизма и подчеркнули важность сохранения памяти о совместных героических страницах борьбы наших народов против «коричневой чумы».

☝🏻 Полтар был освобожден 12 января 1945 г. соединениями и частями 40-й армии 2-го Украинского фронта.
