کامران باقری لنکرانی، وزیر اسبق بهداشت و عضو فرهنگستان علوم پزشکی «نامه مرکز تحقیقات سیاست‌گذاری سلامت» را تایید کرد. در این نامه به استناد تحقیق روی ۳۸۰ هزار نفر در شیراز «میزان تاثیر واکسن سینوفارم در جلوگیری از عفونت» و ابتلا به ویروس کرونا فقط ۵ درصد اعلام شده است.
در نامه مرکز تحقیقات سیاست‌گذاری سلامت که به امضای کامران باقری لنکرانی رسیده آمده است: میزان تاثیر واکسن سینوفارم در جلوگیری از عفونت (ابتلا به کرونا) ۵ درصد، تاثیر آن در جلوگیری از بستری ۵۵/۸ و تاثیر سینوفارم در جلوگیری از مرگ ۶۵ درصد است.
