Make unleavened flat breads
You can add anything to it
Fry them up on a griddle
Many ways you can make them
Just water, flour and salt for a siimple bread thats crunchy or add olive oil to the flour before you add in the water. Makes it more chewy.
I add chopped garlic and onion, chopped pepperdew and tomato, add some bbq meat seasoning for a unique taste, make the dough into a soft consistency, get the pan/griddle hot, then throw on a blob, flatten it out and fry untill browned one side, flip and brown, eat.
If i want i can dust counter with flour, make my mix slightly stiffer, then roll the ball of bread flat like a pancake and then fry it. All depends on the consistency. You can add some ground left over beef to the mix too. Makes a ready made sandwich to take outside and walk around with it in your hand without dropping contents on the ground. Lasts days just sitting on the counter with a cloth thrown over. No mold or growth after a week in our heat here, but ready to grab and go for a snack or energy pick me up.
I sometimes add a tin of sweet corn and honey and egg and make a sweet biscuit/pancake type mix that is pourable with a ladle like pancake. These puff up slightly and are more chewable. Delicious. Can add chopped dried fruit or dates for energy too.
If you add some yeast and let warm water, and let it set for 1-2 hours you can get them to be less dense and more bread like, or you can pour the runny mix into muffin pans and bake them for a slightly thicker "muffin/scone" type bread
Combinations are endless. And whatever you do, its so forgiving its rediculous.
A plain bread with fresh crushed rosemary and garlic, rolled out onto coarse salt and fried is delicious with coffee
