Санкт-Петербурга рассмотрел ходатайство следствия об избрании меры пресечения в виде заключения под стражу в отношении Андрея Жукова, обвиняемого в совершении преступления, предусмотренного ч.3 ст.30 - п.ж ч.2 ст.105 УК РФ (https://www.group-telegram.com/ua/SPbGS.com/14696).
21.05.2023 Жуков был задержан в порядке ст.91 УПК РФ. 22.05.2023 ему было предъявлено обвинение. Вину признал частично.
Обвиняемый и защитник не возражали.
Суд ходатайство следствия удовлетворил, избрав Жукову стражу по 20.07.2023.

Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. In December 2021, Sebi officials had conducted a search and seizure operation at the premises of certain persons carrying out similar manipulative activities through Telegram channels. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows. Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried.
