В киноленте Виктора Гинзбурга по роману Виктора Пелевина тоже есть кусочек нашего района. В первые пятнадцать минут фильма главный герой Вавилен на Мерседесе с коллегами поднимается по улице Лобачика к Третьему транспортному кольцу. На заднем плане виднеются гаражи и здания кондитерского концерна "Бабаевский".

Несмотря на невысокие кассовые сборы и критику от поклонников писателя, фильму удалось передать сюрреалистическую атмосферу пелевинских 90-х, где путь копирайтера ведёт к шумерской богине, а главу государства создают при помощи компьютерной графики.
