🇪🇹 🇬🇭 🇲🇿 26-27 ноября в Российском центре науки и культуры в Аддис-Абебе проходила серия мероприятий как для учёных, так и для юных геологов в рамках проекта «Геологический Класс Карпинского»: детский мастер-класс, кинопросмотр фильма «Челюскин», а также лекция от геофизика

Лектории Института Карпинского работают с 2023 года в Гане и Эфиопии, а с 2024 — ещё и в Мозамбике. На базе Музея науки и техники Аккры и в Национальном музее геологии города Мапуту были организованы открытые научно-популярные лекции и семинары. Проект направлен на создание открытых образовательных центров — площадок для диалога между учёными, студентами и слушателями в сфере геологии и недропользования. Институт предоставляет материально-техническое обеспечение, учебные и демонстрационные материалы, научную литературу и библиотеку с ценными изданиями.

The gold standard of encryption, known as end-to-end encryption, where only the sender and person who receives the message are able to see it, is available on Telegram only when the Secret Chat function is enabled. Voice and video calls are also completely encrypted. The Security Service of Ukraine said in a tweet that it was able to effectively target Russian convoys near Kyiv because of messages sent to an official Telegram bot account called "STOP Russian War." What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government. Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine.
