Этот культурный объект должны построить к 400-летию краевой столицы, вписав его в существующую застройку вблизи музея-усадьбы Василия Сурикова.

За основу архитектурно-художественного решения авторы взяли образ сундука художника. Василий Иванович хранил в нем свои этюды и эскизы.

Сейчас проект Суриков-центра проходит государственную экспертизу. После получения положительного заключения можно будет приступать к поиску подрядчика и строительству.
