Турецкий производитель беспилотников Baykar Technologies приблизился к приобретению итальянской компании Piaggio Aerospace, подписав предварительный контракт на передачу активов. В декабре 2024 года Министерство предпринимательства Италии выбрало Baykar приоритетным покупателем.
Piaggio, включающая подразделения Piaggio Aero Industries и Piaggio Aviation, находится под внешним управлением с декабря 2018 года после выхода из бизнеса прежнего владельца Mubadala. В ближайшие недели новый собственник представит профсоюзам план возрождения обеих компаний.
Сделку планируется закрыть весной после одобрения Советом министров Италии в рамках закона "Golden Power". Базирующаяся в Вилланова-д'Альбенга Piaggio обслуживает самолёты P180 Avanti для вооружённых сил страны.
