Посёлок городского типа Великая Новоселка освобожден российской армией. По сути, это целая агломерация: Великая Новоселка, Времевка, Нескучное, один из крупных узлов обороны ВСУ на Южно-Донецком направлении, подготовленный и оборудованный фортификациями, с естественными водными преградами.

К сожалению, основная достопримечательность этого района – музей Немировича-Данченко в Нескучном был уничтожен еще летом 2023 года.

Занятие Великой Новоселки, ввиду отсутствия иных крупных населенных пунктов, для обороны ВСУ, открывает путь для российской армии, как на север, в целях окончательного освобождения ДНР, так и на Запад, на Днепропетровскую область.
