ام‌سلمه گفت: «از پیامبر(ص) تربتی مقدس دارم.» امام نیز مشتی از خاک کربلا به او داد و فرمود: «وقتی این خاک به خون تبدیل شد، بدان من در کربلا شهید شده‌ام.»
