3 августа в Нижнем Тагиле объявлено днем траура. Губернатор Евгений Куйвашев принял решение увеличить выплаты жителям, которые потеряли квартиры, со 150 до 500 тысяч рублей. Уже поступили средства на приобретение жилья для жителей 1, 2 и 3 подъездов. Семьям погибших полагаются выплаты по 1,5 млн рублей, пострадавшим – до 600 тысяч рублей.
