Соболезную родным и близким, но я в искреннем недоумении - может, этот генерал был какой-то не очень нужный? Ну так отправили бы на пенсию тогда... А нужные большие генералы, в моем дилетантском представлении, сидят во время войны на каких-нибудь хорошо охраняемых базах и командных пунктах на казарменном положении. Без жен и котов или же коты и жены переезжают с ними.
