Боевики открыли огонь из стрелкового оружия и РПГ-7, снаряженными 105-мм тандемными выстрелами собственного производства. Согласно заявлению группировки, при боестолкновении были уничтожены несколько единиц бронетехники противника.
Примечательно, что для съемки и координации действий боевиков группировка использовала беспилотник.
