In seiner Botschaft an das "Interreligiöse Treffen für Frieden" (Sant'Egidio/ Paris 22.-24.09.24) forderte Papst Franziskus die mehr als 150 Vertreter "der christlichen Gemeinschaften und der großen Weltreligionen sowie der zivilen Behörden" auf, "die Brüderlichkeit zwischen den Völkern in unserer Zeit zu fördern". Er drückte seine Hoffnung aus, dass die Gruppe trotz unterschiedlicher "religiöser Überzeugungen" (Katholizismus, Protestantismus, Islam, Buddhismus, Shintoismus, Judentum), "die Kraft und Schönheit der universellen Brüderlichkeit erfahren hat".
Weiters forderte er auf, "Bande der Brüderlichkeit zu knüpfen und uns von der göttlichen Inspiration leiten zu lassen, die in jedem Glauben gegenwärtig ist". Bereits in Singapur vor wenigen Wochen erklärte er auf Kritik hin, dass "jede Religion ein Weg zu Gott ist" und dass unterschiedliche religiöse Überzeugungen "ein Geschenk Gottes" seien.

At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis."
