آنتون سیلوانوف، وزیر دارایی روسیه روز چهارشنبه ۲۵ دسامبر (پنجم دی) اعلام کرد که در پی صدور آزمایشی مجوزهای قانونی استفاده از بیت‌کوین و سایر ارزهای دیجیتال در پرداخت‌های بین‌المللی برای مقابله با تحریم‌های غرب، شرکت‌های روسی هم اکنون از این امکان استفاده می‌کنند.
