Why was an early flood warning system rejected in Kerr County, TX?
Since the flooding on July 4, more information has emerged that Kerr County rejected proposals for early warning systems. One county commissioner called the idea of a warning siren "extravagant."
But this is not the only issue. The state of Texas is facing $54 billion in backlogged flood management projects, even as they give away $51 billion in tax cuts.
The deaths of well over 100 people are not an accident: they are the results of policy choices by local, state, and federal politicians!
PSL members across Texas are planning emergency response and aid distribution across the areas affected by flooding. Donate here: http://bit.ly/CTXRelief
