The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors. Such instructions could actually endanger people — citizens receive air strike warnings via smartphone alerts. "He has kind of an old-school cyber-libertarian world view where technology is there to set you free," Maréchal said.
