Также баядские принцесы были женами таких ханов как Мункэ, Аригуна, Хубилая, Тогон-Тимура. Во время джунгарской гегемонии баяды составляли часть населения Джунгарского ханства.
В современное время баядов насчитывается около 60 тыс. человек. В основном проживают в Увс аймаке вместе с монгольскими дербетами.
