Как говорится, все переплетено!

The change of gears from its Art Deco interiors in KLM’s earlier aircraft towards modernist aesthetics of the new Fokkers, which would remain unheard of as far as other airlines of the day were concerned, must have resulted from Mutters & Zoon’s exposure to the pioneering contributions of Gerrit Rietveld and Willem Gispen to the Dutch design scene of a few years earlier. We are certainly referring to Rietveld’s and Gispen’s 1927 chairs made of metal tubes (pictures 1-6 and 7, respectively).
