Био је у контакту са свим значајнијим србима тог времена који су стално или повремено живели и радили у Трсту и Венецији, као што су: Доситеј Обрадовић, Вук Караџић, Јоаким Вујић, Павле Соларић, Вићентије Ракић, Герман Анђелић, Герасим Зелић, Лукијан Мушицки, Матија Бан.
