Его задачей будет возвращение института на позиции в рейтингах не ниже таковых на момент 2014 года.
Дополнительно ему будет поручено взятие под контроль исконных научных тем, исторически изучавшись в ИППИ, а также ключевых сотрудников.
Также сообщается, что его коллега Игорь Гиркин будет назначен на должность главы отдела кадров для помощи в решении поставленных задач.
