Ёлка вверх ногами расположена в самом большом зале пещеры – зале Вернадского. Ранее сотрудники комплекса отмечали, что именно в таком виде ёлка органично вписывается в пространство «пещеры наоборот», ведь «Таврида» образована напорными водами снизу, в отличие от большинства пещер, которые образуются в результате растворения известняка сверху вниз, эпигенным путём.

Пещера «Таврида» была найдена в 2018 году при строительстве одноимённой многополосной трассы в Крыму.
