«Мы всю Западную Сибирь поднимали в условиях полнейших санкций. Я вырос в Новом Уренгое, и на всех наших промыслах, которые там в 70-ые – 80-ые развивались, там отечественное оборудование было. Но сейчас в одночасье мы видим, что есть сложности. И там, где мы теряли компетенции, очевидно, их надо быстро возвращать. Сказать, что всё это очень легко – нет. Это огромный вызов для страны, для отрасли. Но тем не менее, видны понятные решения, видны люди, которые способны обеспечить эти решения. У нас в отрасли огромный потенциал интеллектуальный».

Crude oil prices edged higher after tumbling on Thursday, when U.S. West Texas intermediate slid back below $110 per barrel after topping as much as $130 a barrel in recent sessions. Still, gas prices at the pump rose to fresh highs. Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. Artem Kliuchnikov and his family fled Ukraine just days before the Russian invasion.
