Иск был связан с контрактом от начала 2010-х на поставку 120 трехсекционных трамваев 71-414 для Москвы. По его утверждению, «Уралтрансмаш» должен €18,4 млн за неоплаченные трамваи, а также значительную сумму по процентам и пеням, начисленным за прошедшие годы.
