Ровно 40 лет назад, 1 октября 1984 года укладкой «золотого» звена на станции Куанда завершилось строительство БАМа.

Сегодня мы отмечаем не только этот юбилей, но и 21-ую годовщину основания ОАО «РЖД». В этот двойной праздник состоялось символическое мероприятие по укладке «золотого» звена БАМ 2.0. Им завершилось строительство второго пути на перегоне Куанда – Куандинский, работы велись в рамках второго этапа модернизации Восточного полигона.

Но работу на Восточном полигоне продолжаем. Перед нами стоят новые сложные задачи – нужно построить более 400 объектов. Для этого сюда снова едет молодежь, студотряды и лучшие специалисты. Новое поколение принимает эстафету великой стройки у первопроходцев.
