Сейчас Деми Майнор жалуется: охранники обращаются к нему как к мужчине, а другие заключённые нападают и издеваются.
В 2021 году в Нью-Джерси принята политика, позволяющая размещать заключённых в соответствии с их предпочтительной гендерной идентичностью. Для того чтобы попасть в женскую тюрьму, заключённым теперь не требуется полностью менять пол, достаточно ощущать себя женщиной.
