По словам врио Владимира Сад то до это связано с серьезной угрозой разрушения Каховской дамбы из-за обстрелов ВСУ. Это касается населенных пунктов Новокаховского городского округа, Голопристанского, Алешкинского, Каховского, Горностаевского, Великолепетихского и Верхнерогачикского муниципальных округов.
С другой стороны, это решение может говорить в пользу создания глубоко эшелонированной обороны на этом направлении, то есть в ВС РФ понимают значение грядущей битвы за Херсон.
