Модернізований у рамках проекту «HORNET» від фонду «Повернись Живим» ЗРК 9К33М3 «Оса-АКМ», оснащений ракетою Р-73.

Модернізація «Оси» у Сухопутних військах — це аналог програми «FrankenSAM», яку, завдяки допомозі США, реалізують у Повітряних силах. На відміну від «FrankenSAM», комплекси, модернізовані за програмою «HORNET», можуть використовувати ракети «повітря-повітря» радянського зразка.

Авіаційна ракета має деяку перевагу, адже працює за принципом «вистрілив — забув», її не треба супроводжувати як штатну ракету «Оси». Одразу після пострілу Р-73 можна переміщатися з позицій, щоб не отримати удар у відповідь, — пояснює консультант «Повернись живим», військовослужбовець Олексій Дубинка.

На програму модернізації було витрачено понад 14 мільйонів гривень, а оновлені ЗРК отримали всі зенітні ракетні полки Сухопутних військ ЗСУ, які мають на озброєнні «Оси».
