Над умозаключением архиепископа уже поиронизировал Андрей Кураев, отметивший, что в олимпийских медалях заключены частицы железа с Эйфелевой башни: «Почти все победители кусают свои медали. Значит, прикасаются губами к эйфелеву железу. Тут нужен гений архиеп. Саввы Тутунова, чтобы разгадать оккультный сатанинский смысл этого поцелуя. Надо как-то связать это с поцелуем бафометовой задницы».
