Левашовская пустошь — одно из ключевых мест памяти о советском государственном терроре в нашем городе.

Урочище в районе станции Левашово — место захоронения тысяч людей, расстрелянных и погибших в тюрьмах Ленинграда. Государство десятилетиями скрывало его, и обнаружено оно было активистами только 36 лет назад, весной 1989 года.

Именно туда мы отправимся на прогулку в поддержку работы «Открытого пространства». По мемориальному кладбищу нас проведет экскурсовод Наталья Шкуренок. Имена и фамилии похороненных там до сих пор не известны, за исключением данных о нескольких отдельных узниках.

Сегодня в левашовском лесу установлено почти полторы тысячи памятных знаков, за каждым из которых — история террора, поиска близких и сохранения памяти.
