«Прозрачный Мир на Каспии» зафиксировал масштабное загрязнение морских вод у побережья Дербента 17 января 2025 года. Судовой разлив площадью 9.92 кв. км обнаружен в российских территориальных водах в координатах 43°07’52.72” N, 48°31’66.34” E. На момент съемки скорость ветра в районе составляла 6 м/с (северный ветер), что могло способствовать дальнейшему распространению загрязнения.

Для сравнения, разлив такого масштаба затрагивает территорию, эквивалентную площади 1,390 футбольных полей. Это может нанести серьёзный ущерб экосистеме Каспия.
