Студенты Института точных наук и цифровых технологий стали лучшими на турнире по лазертагу в АГУ

Студенческий турнир по лазертагу среди пар, приуроченный ко Дню книгодарения, организовали сотрудники отдела молодёжной политики.

Участниками необычного соревнования стали 12 представителей различных факультетов университета. Призовые места распределялись по количеству набранных баллов.

В напряженной борьбе победу в турнире одержали студентка 4 курса факультета математики и компьютерных наук Амина Хагур и студент 3 курса факультета математики и компьютерных наук Артемий Невмира.

A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today." But the Ukraine Crisis Media Center's Tsekhanovska points out that communications are often down in zones most affected by the war, making this sort of cross-referencing a luxury many cannot afford. "Markets were cheering this economic recovery and return to strong economic growth, but the cheers will turn to tears if the inflation outbreak pushes businesses and consumers to the brink of recession," he added.
